Creating an operational reality

4 training sessions and collective supervision with Michele Ritteman PhD

Michèle RITTERMAN, PhD

Psychotherapist and Trainer
in Ericksonian Hypnosis

This module of 4 clinical training sessions “Creating an operational reality and collective supervision” comes from the International Masters in Hypnosis, foundations level.

Michele Ritterman, who studied for many years with Dr. Milton Erickson, Salvador Minuchin and Jay Haley, highlights a therapeutic breakthrough she modeled: the symptom is a trance state that is suggested by the context personal, family and social. The goal of the therapy is to awaken the person from this trance, identify the inductions and create a counter-induction so that they can find a margin of freedom in relation to these contextual suggestions.

Description

Objective of the module

  • Perceiving family interactions as inducing symptoms
  • Identify the contribution of Ericksonian hypnosis in the development of family therapy
  • Identify the concepts of induction and counter-induction and their role in the patient's suffering
  • Structuring the stages of an interview and the use of hypnosis session by session
  • Experiment with the notion of power exchange in the therapeutic relationship

  • produce therapeutic "counter-inductions" from what the patient brings in order to help him get out of his symptomatic trance.
