This 6-session module presents a corpus of real sessions conducted by expert speakers from which students can work and sharpen their observation and identify all the elements that characterize a systemic and strategic intervention.

Description

This 2-day module is dedicated to understanding and managing issues that affect children and young people in family and educational contexts. For some disorders, intervention protocols are described in detail. The theoretical presentation is accompanied by viewing of real sessions of filmed psychotherapeutic interventions.

The course is divided into two days

  • The first is devoted to the resolution of the disorders encountered in children and young people through indirect therapy, that is to say the psychotherapeutic intervention carried out with the parents, who are elected as "co-therapists". By modifying the attitude and the behavior of the parents towards the problem or the disorder presented, one modifies the mechanisms which maintain it in time, which leads to its resolution. Issues are addressed by age group.
  • The second day is devoted to the problems of children in educational contexts. Intervention protocols for certain disorders are analyzed: attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, for example, oppositional defiant disorder, selective mutism, avoidance disorder or school phobia.

For each protocol, the techniques, strategies and stratagems of "diagnosis-intervention" will be analyzed.

Formation's goal

  • Analyze the strategic intervention process: definition of the problem to be solved and the objective to be achieved, analysis of the solutions attempted, development of an intervention strategy, verification of the results.
  • Observe the main dynamics of the different family models.
  • Present the strategic model of indirect therapy.
  • Distinguish issues by age group.
  • Identify, for each problem or age group, the main attempts at solution, the malfunctions to work on and the strategies to solve the problem.s.
  • Analyze the main intervention protocols for disorders of children and young people in developmental contexts.
  • Check the theoretical content in the light of the vision of the real cases presented.

Training content

  • Link the elements of observed sequences to the fundamental concepts of the strategic systemic approach.
  • Situate the different stages of a strategic systemic intervention.
  • Identify the verbal/non-verbal language of the patient and the tuning and adjustment work of the practitioner.
