      Ericksonian hypnosis

Hypnotic mobilization of resources by the body
Process of reciprocal influence and language games

Dr. Eric BARDOT and Dr. Bruno DUBOS

Ericksonian hypnosis is more than a technique, it is the keystone of the practice of so-called strategic brief therapies. The handling of Ericksonian hypnosis, also called conversational hypnosis, aims above all to bring about change.

Milton Erickson has dedicated his life to thinking up strategies for change to help his patients break free from their problems. He quickly became interested in hypnosis and his work renewed the way of practicing hypnosis, from the second half of the 20th century . He is considered the father of brief therapies.

This interactive module is intended for practitioners wishing to learn about Ericksonian hypnosis in order to guide the patient towards his own resources, on the path to change.

      Description

The therapeutic strategies of hypnotic work aim to mobilize the resources of our patients. It is important to take into account that these resources are above all chains of experiences associating sensory-motor with emotions on which our psychic representations are built. Far too often, the corporeal dimension of the chains of experience is undervalued, in favor of the mobilization of psychic representations. Outside the body, with its sensations and its proprio-captivity, is at the center of our relationship to the world around us and serves as the basis for our relationship with others.

We all know "those great moments of loneliness" where nothing happens and where our strategies fail one after the other... Indeed, some of our patients have lost their creativity, they have stopped and become impoverished, in their sensoriality, their emotions and their psychic representations. This is the case when they settle into a process of chronicity. There are, however, other means of entering into a relationship with these discouraging patients by using what is immediately within our reach and can always be mobilized: The body and the chains of experience.

This introductory module of 4 web training sessions aims to introduce any practitioner of the helping relationship to conversational hypnosis through the founding contributions of Milton Erickson. The various courses offered will allow you to acquire a vision that connects you intimately to your patient in an approach that combines rigor and intuition, and in which the voice, the look and the sensations are highlighted.

The relationship to the world, to oneself and to others will be approached through body hypnotic work in order to make the link, from movement to the mobilization of resources. The student will be sensitized to the processes of reciprocal influence and will apprehend language games and metaphorical games in hypnosis.
