The course first lists the diagnostic characteristics of monophobias and generalized anxiety disorder according to the DSM-5, then it defines these pathologies from a strategic point of view, that is, through the dysfunctional solution attempts adopted. by the person to solve the problem, but that makes it worse. Some therapeutic indications for the most common forms of monophobia and generalized phobia are illustrated below, in particular the therapeutic maneuvers of "studying your enemy" and the "logbook" are explained.
The course ends with questions and discussions on certain clinical cases brought by the participants.
Course objectives:
- Learn the diagnostic features of monophobia and generalized anxiety disorder
- To learn how monophobias and generalized phobias persist and function from a strategic point of view, i.e. the attempted solutions generally adopted by the person to solve the problem (avoidance, seeking help and control that makes him lose control).
- Know the most common forms of monophobia and generalized phobia of our time (fear of flying, fear of animals, agoraphobia, claustrophobia, etc.)
- Learn the main maneuvers and the type of therapeutic relationship used in Brief Strategic Therapy to treat generalized monophobia and generalized phobia.
