      Elena BOGGIANI

Psychologist, researcher and official psychotherapist of the Strategic Therapy Center of Arezzo and teacher at the School of Specialization in Brief Strategic Psychotherapy.

This module consists of an introductory theoretical part followed by a practical part with the viewing of recordings of real sessions which offers students the possibility of identifying all the specific elements specific to a strategic intervention.

      Description

Students will be made aware, on a theoretical basis of the strategic model, of the different tools and techniques used, of communication and the therapeutic relationship.

This is a module that offers participants the opportunity to also learn by doing, through the observation of sessions led by Giorgio Nardone. Different psychopathologies will be presented such as eating disorders, presumed psychoses or psychoses and sexual dysfunctions.

This module offers an interactive teaching method in which students are challenged and invited to analyze what they have observed.

      Formation's goal

Through the work of Professor Giorgio Nardone and his CTS collaborators:

      • Present the results of “research-intervention” in clinical settings on the treatment of anorexia, vomiting, binge eating and bulimia in young people and adults; male and female sexual dysfunctions and psychosis (or presumed psychosis)
      • Identify the phases of strategic treatment.

      • Build the strategic intervention protocol.

      • Observe the therapist's verbal/non-verbal language and attuning work with the patient.

      • Identify the patient's type of resistance to change.

Skills acquired at the end of the training

      •  Finely analyze the problem in order to distinguish the descriptive operational diagnosis from the strategic diagnosis.
      •  Understand the main prescriptions used in brief strategic therapy for eating disorders, sexual dysfunctions and psychoses or presumptions of psychosis to optimize its interventions.
      • Carry out a strategic intervention by following certain protocols with rigor and flexibility to adapt to the uniqueness of the patient and his situation.
      • Strengthen the patient's therapeutic alliance by using strategic communication and feedback tools to improve patient engagement and adherence to prescriptions.
