The systemic and strategic approach

It is based on an intervention method developed by the School of Palo Alto and developed by its current research centers. Its specificity and originality are:

• to know how to apprehend the complexity of human relations and bring a biopsychosocial vision to the psychological and relational problems that develop in ever more volatile, unpredictable, complex and ambiguous contexts. 

• to be strategic in terms of relational regulation by relying on 2 essential techniques which are problem solving and strategic communication, which make it possible to reduce the complexity of a relational situation without distorting it and to obtain effective operational effects and sustainability in resource development and problem solving.

Practice and improvement module includes 12 hours of lessons, divided into 4 sessions and approximately 12 hours of personal work. It allows the student to improve in the implementation of each step of the grid of the Brief Therapy Center of the School of Palo Alto in a perspective of strategic systemic intervention and in his posture as a speaker. Through role-playing, combining concrete practice and observation, you will have the opportunity to consolidate your mastery of the main issues of an intervention: technical mastery of the grid (position and vision of the patient's world, context of the problem and formalization of a minimum intervention objective, decryption of the perception-reaction system which opens the strategic path of the intervention) and mastery of your strategic communication aiming at the therapeutic alliance and the effectiveness of the intervention ( reformulation, tools of strategic communication, tuning and syntonization with the patient).

• 100% online, it alternates face-to-face half-days including individual or sub-group work time.
• it is provided by specialized international trainers from the clinical and business worlds.

Openings/specialization
The “ Practice and improvement ” module allows to deepen the implementation of the intervention grid of the strategic systemic approach.
This additional cross-cutting contribution is transferable to different types of activities and functions of support, education and helping relationship professionals or stakeholders in the clinical world.

Perfect your technical and relational practice within a framework of strategic systemic intervention and reinforce the self-observation approach of your practice.

Classes will take place from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Prerequisites: 

• Baccalaureate standard
• Correct command of French (being able to express oneself orally and in writing)
• Commitment to practicing intervention sessions
• Digital prerequisites:
  • Have a computer (with camera and microphone) and a phone in good working order
  • Have a regularly used email address
  • Have internet access with sufficient speed (videoconferencing, video playback)
  • Have a place suitable for monitoring the training
  • Know how to use basic digital tools: internet, messaging, search engine
  • Know how to use word processing tools, spreadsheets and presentation tools (power point type)

Vincent GÉRARD : Clinical psychologist, psychotherapist and trained in Erichsonian, systemic hypnosis and solution-oriented therapy. For more than 25 years, he has been offering concrete, rapid and effective therapeutic tools to people who are confronted, at some point in their lives, with a personal, family, professional or emotional problem. He is a lecturer, he has trained many psycho-medico-social workers in Belgium, France, Switzerland and Luxembourg.

Olivier BROSSEAU : Strategic coach, therapist in strategic systemic approach and associated with LACT. He teaches and trains via the web at the relationship clinic within the international school LACT at the IAE of Paris within the Master of Administrations and Businesses module "Organizations and behaviors". It intervenes in the field of the regulation of psychosocial disorders in the form of individual consultation and collective intervention within companies and institutions (executives, managers, employees). Co-author "When work hurts", "Strategies for change, 16 therapeutic prescriptions".

Obtaining the certificate for this module requires: 

• to have passed 75% of the homework to be done outside of class (MCQ, videos, homework, collaborative work, etc.) 
• to have attended at least 75% of the course sessions 

Assessment of student satisfaction

At the end of the training, a satisfaction questionnaire will be completed by each participant so that they can assess the relevance of the content of the training with regard to their professional practice and the achievement of their objectives.
