Grégoire Vitry: Dr Ghaoui, a reaction to the workshop?
Dr GHAOUI: Me, this workshop indeed interested me because I have a course of analysis and behavioral therapy and short emotional therapy.
So I didn't know in practice, when people had a real problem like the one they were describing, at what stage and how could you approach it? It speaks to me that you say "the deepest part of his problem".
I do it a little bit in the office. Sometimes, I allow myself because I understood that I remained in the function of a general practitioner who does a little therapy and support, but I know that I must remain within "my framework". I try to go a little further as you explained with the person; so it speaks to me but, it remains quite superficial for me.
G. Vitry: On the other hand, we can call each other. Do not hesitate in relation to a patient for whom there is doubt.
Dr. GHAOUI: I see a lot of people treated with medication and I see that it is never completely satisfactory.
G. Vitry: It's so entrenched for the patient to take medication first. It's so much easier to say, “We're going to take a little pill”.
Dr. GHAOUI: Just yesterday, I saw a gentleman being threatened by someone who is inferior to him.
These are surely reasons to go further.
