This 4-session module explores the different emotions and allows you to discover the most appropriate intervention and communication strategies to intervene as a practitioner of the helping relationship.

Description

Emotions are at the heart of the human being. Their overflows are the basis of many personal but also relational problems. As a practitioner of the helping relationship, their manifestations constitute a fundamental axis of intervention.  

This module helps to understand primary and secondary emotions and their multisystemic implications (neurophysiological, emotional, cognitive, behavioral). 

Fear, anger, pleasure, pain will be approached from a psychopathological and strategic point of view in order to develop the most appropriate posture and method of intervention for the patient.

These online courses will be given in Italian with live French translation.

Objective of the module

  • Provide specific knowledge on the neurophysiology of emotions 
  • Recognize the somatic and psychological manifestations of emotions 
  • Recognize the pathologies of emotions 
  • Understand the primary strategies of intervention on emotions

Sessions will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (with a 30-minute break)

Skills acquired at the end of the training (pedagogical objectives)

  • Recognize the physical and psychological manifestations of emotions in order to discern the main and secondary emotions felt by the patient and to identify possible pathologies.
  • Adapt his posture as a speaker and his communication according to the emotion felt by the patient.
  • Identify the solution attempts made by the patient in order to define an appropriate therapeutic objective.
  • Intervene on the pathological emotion with efficiency.

Target audience and prerequisites

  • Students of the LACT International School and any professional in the field of support (therapists, psychologists, coaches, etc.) practicing or wishing to learn about the systemic and strategic approach
  • No prerequisites

Former

Emanuela MURIANA : P sychologist and psychotherapist, specialized at the CTS of Arezzo directed by Giorgio Nardone, and at the MRI of Palo Alto with Paul Watzlawick. She is a researcher and lecturer at the School of Specialization in Strategic Therapy and a professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Siena. She is also responsible for the affiliated practice of Strategic Therapy in Florence, where she carries out clinical and consulting activities.

Interactive and experiential approach

  • Individual work, in pairs and sub-groups during and outside the sessions
  • Excerpts from intervention sessions or complete sessions 
  • Group facilitation method (LS/Wooclap)
  • Analysis and sharing of experiences

Evaluation and monitoring methods

Obtaining the certificate for this module requires: 

  • to have passed 75% of the homework to be done outside of class (MCQ, videos, homework, collaborative work, etc.) 
  • to have attended at least 75% of the course sessions 

Assessment of student satisfaction

At the end of the training, a satisfaction questionnaire will be completed by each participant so that they can assess the relevance of the content of the training with regard to their professional practice and the achievement of their objectives.

--> 95% of our students are satisfied with their training  = number of students who gave a score greater than or equal to 7 out of 10 (0: "not at all satisfied"; 10: "completely satisfied")
