This 3-day module presents the evolved model of strategic brief therapy and the protocols put in place for the treatment of monophobia, panic attacks, agoraphobia, claustrophobia and pathological doubt.

This training will illustrate the characteristics of phobic disorders and pathological doubt from a strategic perspective, that is, through the dysfunctional attempts of solution adopted by the person to solve the problem, which contribute to aggravate the problem. During the courses will be provided the treatment indications with the associated specific therapeutic maneuvers.   

In this module, students will have the opportunity to see a selection of filmed sessions conducted by Professor Giorgio Nardone on cases of monophobia, panic attacks, agoraphobia, claustrophobia and pathological doubt. A selection of entire therapeutic sessions or excerpts which will be analyzed in groups and commented on by the trainer; At the end of each session, exercises on communicative-relational techniques and on the prescriptions learned will be offered to the students.

Students will be able to integrate the fundamental principles of the approach, the elements of the frame of reference and the different characteristics of the intervention (definition of the problem, identification of resistance to change, possible exceptions, detection of attempted solutions and of the perception-reaction system, the definition of the objective, the restructuring and the prescriptions, the judicious use of the strategic dialogue, etc ...).

• Provide tools for the operational diagnosis of disorders with the techniques of Brief Strategic Therapy according to the model of Giorgio Nardone
• Recognize the persistent features of the disorder
• Acquire specific techniques, strategies, therapeutic stratagems and protocols
• Improve skills in dealing with monophobias, panic attacks, agoraphobia, claustrophobia and pathological doubt
• Learn by doing (simulations, role plays and exercises) and live case study.

Prerequisites: 

This training is open to health and helping relationship professionals who can certify effective practice.

• Minimum BAC+4 level with clinical practice in the helping relationship,
• Psychologists, doctors, psychiatrists, health and helping relationship professionals who can certify an effective practice,
• Correct command of French (being able to express oneself orally and in writing)
• Digital prerequisites:
  • Have a computer (with camera and microphone) and a phone in good working order
  • Have a regularly used email address
  • Have internet access with sufficient speed (videoconferencing, video playback)
  • Have a place suitable for monitoring the training
  • Know how to use basic digital tools: internet, messaging, search engine
  • Know how to use word processing tools, spreadsheets and presentation tools (power point type)
